About This Video

Have you ever given your dog a gelatin treat? They’re wiggly, they’re jiggly, and I absolutely love them for dogs of all ages—from puppies all the way up to seniors. In this video, I’m showing you my super easy “in a pinch” version that only takes about 5 minutes of prep, but still gives your pup a healthy, savory treat. Gelatin is one of my favorite add-ins because it has so many benefits (think joints, skin, and coat), and the texture is especially great for senior canines because it’s very easy to chew. Normally, I’ll start gelatin treats with fresh ingredients like chicken breast or a salmon fillet, but here’s the shortcut I genuinely use: The Honest Kitchen Pour Overs. This isn’t sponsored—I keep a bunch stocked in my pantry because the ingredient lists are short and wholesome, and it makes homemade treats ridiculously convenient. All you do is warm one box with 1/4 cup of water, whisk in 2 tablespoons of plain, unflavored gelatin powder (stir more than you think you need to), then pour into molds and refrigerate until set. Depending on your mold thickness, they’ll be ready in about 1–2 hours, and they’ll keep in the fridge for up to 4 days.
