About This Video

Let the games begin. In this video I’m walking you through my growing collection of interactive dog puzzles and enrichment toys that my dogs actually use on a regular basis. One of my favorite reminders (and a huge reason I love puzzles so much) is that about 15 minutes of mental stimulation can be equivalent to 30 minutes of physical stimulation for our dogs. Puzzles are such an easy way to bust boredom, boost your dog’s mood, and give their brain a real workout—especially on days when you can’t do a super long walk. I start with the Nina Ottosson puzzles by Outward Hound and explain how I like to move through the levels (beginner to expert) instead of jumping straight to the hardest game. I show you my go-to Level 2 favorites like the Hide n’ Slide, Tornado, and Dog Brick, then step up to the Level 3 Challenge Slider and the Level 4 MultiPuzzle (with locks—so fun, but don’t skip the earlier levels). I also share a cute Trixie option (Mad Scientist), plus plush-style enrichment like snuffle mats (including my DIY) and treat-dispensing toys like the Snoop, KONG Gyro, Classic KONG, and the Hol-ee Roller—because enrichment doesn’t have to be “a puzzle” to be a brain game.
