Step 4 of our Ultimate Chicken Coop Build focuses on cutting custom doors and runs into a 40-foot shipping container. In this video, we transform the front and back of a Conex container by cutting symmetrical breeder pen doors, along with smaller rear access doors that connect to a shared outdoor population area. This layout allows each rare breed chicken flock to rotate safely while maintaining separation and biosecurity. Using an angle grinder and electric reciprocating saw, we carefully design and execute a multi-pen system that will become an 8-pen, 8-run chicken breeder coop — built for real-world daily use on our ranch.
