On Friday night a powerful EF3 tornado struck Beggs, Oklahoma, bringing destructive winds, intense storms, and devastating damage to our small community. In this video from Paragon Ridge Ranch, we document the entire experience as severe weather moved into the area — from watching the storm approach, monitoring the weather, and making the decision to take shelter, to losing power during the storm and seeing the damage the next morning. 🌪️📻 NOAA WEATHER RADIO: https://amzn.to/4bninIV Like many families across Oklahoma during severe weather season, we stayed alert as tornado warnings were issued across Okmulgee County. As the storm moved closer to Beggs, we gathered in our storm shelter while the tornado passed nearby in the darkness of the night. Unfortunately, this storm brought heartbreaking loss to our community. Two members of the Beggs community lost their lives during this tornado, and our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. This video shows the real-life experience of a tornado night in Oklahoma, the importance of staying weather aware, and the aftermath that storms like this can leave behind. Our family is grateful to be safe, and we are thankful for the strength and support of the Beggs and Okmulgee County communities as everyone begins the process of rebuilding. Please keep the families affected by this tornado in your prayers. 🛒🐣 Visit our hatchery page, PARAGON HATCHERY! About This Video

Friday night in Beggs, Oklahoma, we had an EF3 tornado come through our community, and I filmed what it really looks like when severe weather moves in on a working homestead. I was out collecting eggs when Jeremy came and told me there was a lowering rotation and a wall cloud just south of us. From there it was go-time—finish the eggs, get the dogs inside, check the news, keep the NOAA weather radio on, and watch how fast that sky can turn from “kinda gross” to downright ominous. As the storm tracked closer, the wind shifted, the rain wrapped everything up, and then our power went out. That’s the moment I said, “I think we should probably get in the shelter,” and we hustled everyone—kids and dogs—into the storm shelter with water, pillows, lights, and a fan. With no Wi‑Fi and barely any phone reception, it got real quiet and real still, and that’s the part I hate the most. The next morning brought the hard reality: damage in our area and heartbreaking loss in Beggs. Please keep the families affected in your prayers, and let this be a reminder to stay weather aware and have a plan before you need it.
