Plain and simple....I love the Xtrusion Overland XTR 3 Bedrack! Here is a look at my rack system and thoughts after running it for over a year. Not sponsored, gifted to me, or company requested video. I get no commission if you purchase either. I just really like the product and wanted to share in case it may help you out. @XtrusionOverland Great work out there creating products that make our life easier out on the trails!

About This Video

In this video I’m breaking down my real-world, one-year review of the Xtrusion Overland XTR3 bed rack—no sponsor, no freebies, and no commission. I bought it with my own money after my previous rack literally fell apart on me on Hole in the Rock in southern Utah. After that little adventure (ratchet straps and a lot of hope), I needed something I could trust for a heavy rooftop tent, and the XTR3’s center support was a big reason I chose it. I’ve put at least 5,000 miles on this rack (I quit counting after 5K), including 500+ miles of rough trails—boulder hopping, corrugated roads, and generally beating the crap out of it—and it’s held up like a champ. I also show how versatile the extruded aluminum design is: you can slide hardware in the channels and bolt on pretty much whatever you want. I’m running their side gates, a MaxTrax-style holder, and I’ve customized a few things like my own propane mount and a simple hinge mod to keep my lid from falling. I also talk about the one “real life” maintenance item: yes, some bolts can rattle loose. Xtrusion recommends checking them around 500 miles, reapplying Loctite, and tightening everything down. Between the durability, modularity, and the customer service I got when I picked it up in Kansas, this rack has been solid products and solid people.
