Please join me as I spend some time exploring and camping at Lockheart BasinLiving life and seeing where my wheels take me. It's not about completing some epic trail. I was just enjoying life to its fullest taking it all in. I didn't complete the Lockheart Basin Trail, but sometime completing something is not as important as experiencing it.. About This Video

This run took me back into the Lockhart Basin area—close to Needles Overlook as the crow flies, but it still turned into a long day behind the wheel. I came in the backside instead of the more “craziness” entrances, chasing that raw adventure feeling: exploring, camping, and just letting the views hit me. The sun was getting low (story of my life), so the mission became simple: get on dirt, find a dispersed spot away from the crowded trailhead camping, and bed down before I had to night-wheel Lockhart… no thank you, sir. In the morning I showed you the camp I’d marked on a previous trip—three solid spots, tucked down enough to be great when it’s windy, with a fire ring and ridiculous views. From there I rolled deeper into the trail, crossed wash after wash, and even hiked up a steep hill just to earn an “epic view” and remind myself I need to get in better shape. The big takeaway is the whole point of this video: it’s not about completing some epic trail. I knew the route wasn’t open all the way through, and I turned around without regret—because the goal wasn’t the finish line. The goal was to be on the trail, lose the noise of everyday life, and live life to its fullest… even with Monday (and remote work) coming fast.
