I initially went to this area to visit Mt. Rushmore, but when I noticed all the trail systems in Black Hills National Forest I knew I had to explore. Mt. Rushmore was fantastic and an amazing achievement as a manmade monument, but Mother Natures creation of the Black Hills surpassed it in my opinion. I truly enjoyed my time here even though a sidewall blowout threw things for a loop.
