Defeat Exploring the Jefferson National Forest *SE Adventure Part 8*

We explore the Southern portion of the Jefferson National Forest around Damascus, VA and do battle with Murphy's Law (what can go wrong will go wrong). We ran up against weather, downed trees, and trail closures until a critical failure cut the trip weeks short. Below are links to two of the things that saved me out on the trail this trip. That hand operated chainsaw left me tired, but allowed me to clear the trail. That backup battery was a lifesaver because my laptop was dead and I had a video call that I had to make.
