This trail on the dirt side of Capitol Reef National Park was amazing. By far it was the best part of the park for me. I hope you enjoy this look at the back side of the park and something most visitors to the National Park never get the chance to see. About This Video

Today I’m running the Cathedral Valley Loop on the dirt side of Capitol Reef National Park, and I’m telling you right now—this was the best part of the park for me. It’s about a 67-mile route, and it’s got that perfect overland mix: desert scenery, sand washes, a little water, iconic monoliths, and some legit camping options. I navigated with Trails Off-Road, but even if you don’t have it, I walk through what to expect and where things change from BLM land (free game for camping) into the National Park section (more rules, and basically Cathedral Valley Campground is your option).
