A year later, I reconsidered about hosting my own website, and somebody bought the domain name and created a blog there. In this video, I share 10 pieces of small hiking gear gadgets that all cost under 20$. All of this backpacking gear is ultralight (almost all), useful, and most of all - cheap. ▼ HIKING GEAR SHOWN IN VIDEO (Some are affiliate links) 1. About This Video

In this video I put together 10 small hiking gadgets that are actually useful, and (almost) all of them cost under $20. This is the kind of gear that doesn’t look exciting on a product page, but on real trails it fixes annoying little problems: taking shoes on/off during breaks, carrying olive oil without turning your food bag into a greasy crime scene, finding tent zippers at night, and keeping your sleeping pad from slowly migrating into the tent wall. I go through each item and explain exactly why I use it, what I paid, and where it makes sense (and where it doesn’t). A few highlights: Decathlon quick laces for faster breaks and fewer blister issues, truly leak-proof bottles for high-calorie olive oil, a fuel transfer adapter for dealing with half-empty canisters, and a tick remover tool that’s safer than yanking with random tweezers. I also talk about a SwitchBot thermometer for tracking overnight temp/humidity (I only bring it in winter), simple pack liners for keeping gear dry, Lightload towels that pack ridiculously small, and a tiny Osprey wallet that’s basically a more secure long-term upgrade from a Ziploc bag.
