Tajikistan Hospitality at it's best || Sydney to London Ep 25

You can not fault the generosity of the Tajikistan people. Once again we are invited in to a local's home and given food and a place to stay. the first bed we slept in after a few weeks of camping. Always appreciated! After leaving Zorkul National Park we follow the Pamir River and the border of Afghanistan towards Khorog. Here we attempt to explain how we manage to travel on such a tight budget. We stay in the Mapir Lodge wich is a well known overlanders haven. We then stock up at a local market with fresh fruit and veggies ahead of what we thought would be a 3 day trip till the next major city... but plans change A local tajikstan man found us having lunch down by the river and invited us to jouin him and his friends for lunch and a few drinks. How could you turnt hat offer down. It is experiences like this that make these trips wonderful. We eat fish and drink some beers with him and his friends and then he invites us back to his locla Pamir home to meet his wife and children, where we are offered yet another meal. The hospitality of the Pamir people is one to be admired. Hope you enjoy this episode.
