Riding through Uzbekistan in 40 degree heat! || Sydney to London - EP 28

It has been a while! But at long last... here is Episode 28 - which covers our journey through Uzbekistan. We entered from Tajikistan on the 7th of July 2019 and went straight to Samarkand to take in all the culture of Registan Square and the surrounding mosques. We also had to try the famous uzbekistand soft serve icecream. From there we headed down the highway towards Bukhara where we had to go searching for bike parts in the huge car markets the have. Unforunately we had no luck, so we took in the sights of Bukhara before getting back on the highway for a brutal 480 KMs through the Uzbekistan desert! felt like we were riding through a sauna! James' tire popped yet again, but luckily we found the solice of a bus stop to hide from the sun while we fixed the tire. The bikes were in desperate need of a wash before we made it to our last destination - Khiva. Khiva far exceeded our expectations. We stayed inside The Itchan Kala (Which is the name for the old city) and it was incredible. Unfortunately we only had one night and the next morning to see the sites before we had to get ready for our next border crossing into Turkemistan.
