Taking the road less travelled in Tajikistan || Sydney to London - EP 26

Faced with 2 possible routes to get to Dushanbe, we decide to take the route that everyone told is not to, and what a beautiful route it was... but it doesnt all go to plan. In the last few eps you would have seen us go through the Zorkul National Park, and then we carried on along the Pamir river towards Khorog. In this episode we are about half way through our Tajikistan trip and when we get to Kalaikhum we have to make the decision on which route to go We stumble upon many cyclists and other motorbike riders. We also stay at some of the most beautiful campsites we have ever been to. In tajikistan you can literally camp wherever you want. The scenery is stunning. riding up into the snow capped mountains and along the side of strong white water rivers. This is definitely up there with some of the most beautiful landscapes we have experienced on the trip so far everything was going so well until we hit a river that seems too deep to cross. so we turn around to find another way, although we then hit a mudslide that takes as a few hours to cross. The locals easily push their light motorbikes across, but our fully loaded DR650s arent as easy. Time to get our hands dirty. These are the moments you remember for a long time --------- In 2018 we set off from Australia on our Suzuki DR650 motorcycles riding overland to England. We hope to travel to remote areas riding dirt roads whilst camping and meeting local people along the adventure.
