Then once the salon week starts, it’s back-to-back services, restocks, and staying ready so we can start as soon as my client walks in. I also get into the reality of salon scheduling—like how one client being 10 minutes late can knock the whole day off, especially when my schedule is stacked. I talk about how I handle lateness (and when I can’t take you), plus I show what my week looks like with silk presses, treatments, trims, and multiple color services. And on Friday, I break down one of the biggest things people don’t understand about color: color does not lift color. If you’ve got keratin, box dye, demi, rinse—anything on that hair—an all-over high lift color may not do what you think it’s gonna do, and I’m not here to “play” in anybody’s head.
