Hey babes—welcome back. In this video I’m taking y’all through my full silk press process on some of the thickest, most dense hair I’ve worked on in a long time. Her hair was super healthy and full from root to end… and baby, she still walked in like, “Girl, I don’t want this hair—cut it.” She had just had a baby and she was ready for a real change, so we talked it through and I started taking length off little by little. And yes, the cut turned into a surprise big chop moment. I did two or three different cuts because we were still deciding the vibe—first an inch or two, then more, and we finally landed on a shoulder-length bob that made her so happy. I also had to get into a quick rant because people love to call stylists “scissor happy” off a 10-second clip. Y’all don’t know the backstory—if you’re in my chair and you want a healthy hair journey, I’m not saving dead, split, dry ends or five see-through strands. But in this case?
