About This Video

Hey babes—today I’m taking y’all through a healthy chocolate hair color transformation on my returning client, and the best part is we’re keeping her natural curl pattern intact. Her previous all-over color had grown out a lot, so we’re doing a safe color correction moment and switching it up with caramel mocha highlights for that rich, dimensional chocolate vibe. No flat iron, no silk press… just healthy curls and vibrant color. In this video I’m showing my real process and the products I actually stand behind. I’m big on sticking to what works—when I find a line that performs and keeps our hair healthy, I don’t feel the need to use 50 different things. I use Joico for lightener/developer and a lot of their color gels and demi liquids, plus my go-to tools from Framar. And of course, I’m protecting the hair with Olaplex and finishing with Design Essentials styling—because healthy hair is always the goal. I also talk a little wash-and-go routine: lightweight leave-in, oil, then foam (and yes, sometimes you need gel—foam doesn’t do it all the time). For her super soft, curly texture, foam was perfect, and her curls came out popping with that chocolate caramel dimension.
