In this Rolodex Series episode, I’m leaning hard into “Textile Love” and building a layered #rolodexart card that feels tactile, cozy, and a little bit vintage—without overthinking it. I’m working on UmWow Studio Rolodex chipboard as my sturdy base, and I’m using my favorite kind of mixed media approach: play first, then respond to what shows up. I’m all about letting the layers do the talking, keeping the process slow, and making choices that support texture and story. To get that fabric-inspired, touchable finish, I bring in Powertex Universal Medium (matte/translucent) to help everything bond and hold up to the next steps. For color and that beautiful organic “bloom,” I use PaperArtsy Infusions (I’m pulling from the Sunset Beach/Lemoncello family of tones listed in my supplies), because they give me both pigment and walnut crystal stain effects in one go.
