Welcome back, pearls. In this video I’m doing a product review and a flat twist out on my fine natural hair using ALODIA (and yes, you’ll hear me say “Elodia” too—either pronunciation works). I’m starting on freshly washed hair, and I shampooed and deep conditioned with ALODIA first because those two are honestly some of my favorite products from the brand—they outperform so many others I’ve tried. For styling, I’m layering the SCA Scalp & Hair Therapy Nutrient Infused Hair Cream with the Anti-Breakage Curl Defining Gelly Custard to get that soft, defined finish without that hard gel feel. I walk you through how I part and install my flat twists (three on each side works perfectly for me), plus the little details that matter for definition—like detangling really well, keeping a firm grip as you twist, and using bobby pins at the base if your twists won’t stay tight. If your ends don’t always curl (mine don’t), I recommend perm rods for a uniform look, but I prefer end wraps most of the time to avoid snagging. The next morning, I take everything down gently with a little oil on my hands to minimize frizz. The result? My hair felt light, fluffy, soft, and shiny—with body and a nice, buildable hold.
