In this video I’m trying something a little different—I installed 18 inch Water Kinky Curly clip-ins from Curls Queen on my fine natural hair to get that full, voluminous look without it feeling heavy or bulky. I start with a true unboxing (we’re seeing everything together), and the packaging was honestly so pretty and glamorous. They included a satin drawstring storage bag, a brush, a reversible satin bonnet (and you know I can never have too many bonnets), plus extra clips and care instructions. Then I walk you through how I installed the full set and how I blended my leave-out. My hair around the crown behaves differently than the rest of my head, so I had to really finesse it—if you’ve got that multiple textures struggle, you already know. I also share my honest experience dyeing the hair at home: the color barely lifted (my bad), but it did relax the curl pattern a bit, and that actually made the texture more perfect for my taste. For blending, I wet my leave-out, used one of my favorite mousse/foam stylers, and when it still wasn’t a perfect match, I twisted my leave-out and added perm rods on the ends—big difference. Overall, these clip-ins felt super light, looked nice and full, and the length was just right for a chic, corporate-friendly finish.
