In this Watch Collection Revisit #44, I’m re-reviewing a watch that has been in my collection for about 3 years: the Ironwatch Pilot RX8006. This one is basically an homage to the Hamilton Murph, but with a twist—because the bracelet style here isn’t something I usually see on that Hamilton. The funny thing is, Ironwatch still exists on AliExpress, but I don’t think they sell this exact model anymore. If you want something similar today, I did find the HESTUR brand selling what looks like the same watch, just with different dial colors. I go through the wearability and specs (38.2mm diameter, 45.6mm lug-to-lug, 20mm lug width), and inside you’re getting the hacking Miyota 8215. The case is fully brushed, and there’s a slightly domed sapphire crystal—AR coating, I’m not really sure, but legibility is honestly pretty good with not much glare. For me, the unique selling point is the bracelet: super comfortable, great fit thanks to the small links, but resizing it is a pain in the ass because you need two screwdrivers. End of the day, I still love the watch—but not the dial anymore (green just isn’t my color now), so I’m letting it go.
