I’m a big fan of Sinn watches, but I’m just not a fan of the price. When a basic 556 is already around USD 1,000–1,500 and the U1/U50 territory can hit USD 2,500, I’m obviously going to look at what the affordable market is doing. In this video I ran through the models that stood out to me, especially from Militado (ML16, ML20 and the other 556-style options like ML05/ML08/ML18), plus Steelflier’s SF755U that I’m considering because 40mm is my sweet spot. I also showed my Milifortic M096 (a Baltany sub-brand) and why I appreciate brands that use the “correct” movement like NH38 instead of NH35. Then I compared them with a non-AliExpress option, the Englemaan Wraith UTC, which honestly impressed me with its chunky feel and insane lume. My takeaway: for the money, China brands give you a lot more—especially lume. But it’s still your money and your style; if you don’t like homages, just keep saving up for the real Sinn.
