Alam alaikum and hello YouTube—starting the new year 2026, I picked up another Hemsut Buttero leather strap from AliExpress, this time in their “whiskey” color. In this video I do a quick unboxing and first impressions: you get the top and bottom strap pieces, plus an extra set of quick-release pins (I honestly don’t know why they include the extra, but it’s there). The strap has that two-thickness profile (they list it around 2.26 to 2.8mm), white stitching, one fixed keeper and one movable keeper, and an unfinished-style underside. Mine is 20mm, and they also do 18mm and 22mm. Then I throw it on my DS30 / Damasko D30-style German pilot watch that I’ve been wearing for the whole year. The fit is snug with almost no gap to the case (the leather sits close), and I actually like that look. It tapers nicely from 20mm down to 18mm at the buckle, and there’s no branding on the buckle. Price-wise it’s about USD18 normally, and during AliExpress sales you can snag it closer to USD16—at that money, I genuinely think it looks cool and you can’t really go wrong if you want a durable, high-quality budget leather strap.
