I unbox it, run through the quick specs (39mm diameter, ~14mm thick, 48mm lug-to-lug, 20mm lug width), and explain what you’re getting for the money: an NH34 GMT movement, Explorer II-inspired styling, fixed 24-hour bezel, cyclops date, and a fully brushed case/bracelet with a small polished accent. But here’s the thing: on this V1, the lume experience is not great where it matters—especially the hands. The dial markers are so bright that they basically drown the handset, and the hands are a bit too thin for my liking, so legibility in the dark takes a hit (and this style of watch is supposed to be usable at night). I also point out the crowded dial layout and the bold orange GMT hand that can look more prominent than the hour/minute hands.
