In this Dolly Dreams episode, I’m sharing my consignment sale haul from the big kids consignment sale—because yes, I was selling there, which meant I got to shop the preview sale and then shop early again for the half-price sale. We also went back during the regular sale so my daughter could shop too (her stuff stayed with her), and I’ll tell you right up front: the most expensive thing we bought wasn’t doll-related at all. It was a $55 walkthrough gate for my doll room so the cats can come in, but the dogs (looking at you, Digger) can’t sneak in and steal doll “pets” to chew up. For the full-price preview, I grabbed a few doll and doll-adjacent goodies: an American Girl purple stethoscope to finally go with my AG nurse outfit, the My Life As Elf doll (because our Walmart never got them and my son is obsessed with Elf), and I was SO ecstatic to finally find the Our Generation fireplace set for $18—working lights/sound and all, plus accessories like the tree, stockings, cocoa, cookies, and ornaments. Then at the half-price sale, I scored some practical stuff (and a couple fun finds), and I also picked up a few baby-clothes pieces for Macy—plus I talked about how much better the sale was organized this time, which made shopping way less overwhelming.
