This is a short, chatty layover vlog after getting back from Hong Kong. The video starts with a few December moments from my life and then moves into a quiet layover in Austin. I had plans that didn’t work out, ended up spending a lot of time alone, and used it as a chance to slow down and reset. Nothing fancy, just a calm, real layover that I ended up needing. About This Video

This vlog is me easing back into vlogging after Hong Kong, and honestly it felt a little weird to talk to the camera again. I’m on a layover in Austin, Texas—a city I love even though it changes every time I come back. I worked two flights to get here, crashed hard, and woke up to foggy “supposed-to-be-sunny” weather… but I still had plans: coffee at Desnudo and a farmers market moment. Desnudo absolutely delivered (I got the brown sugar miso coffee and it was to die for), but the downtown Austin farmers market? So underwhelming. Like… nothing there. So the day pivoted into what I apparently actually needed: a long, quiet reset. I walked Lady Bird Lake for hours, hit South Congress, grabbed a matcha, and had a random anxiety spike that reminded me how much peace I’ve had lately. The fix was simple but kind of powerful—eat something nourishing, walk, and take my headphones out so I’m actually in my surroundings. By the end, I’d done 22,000 steps, got a sweet compliment from a stranger, treated myself to Velvet Taco (always), and headed back to work feeling grounded again. It wasn’t fancy, but it was exactly the layover I didn’t know I needed.
