Welcome to my first full vlog from Hong Kong! 🇭🇰 I flew Cathay Pacific Business Class direct from Boston to Hong Kong, checked into the Mandarin Oriental (with the most unreal view of Victoria Harbour), and set out to explore Central on foot. This vlog is filled with Hong Kong street shots, cinematic city moments, and a very real first-day-in-Asia energy including a few rookie travel mistakes that definitely kept things interesting. I take you through my gorgeous hotel room at the Mandarin Oriental, wander through Central’s streets and alleyways, grab a drink at Halfway Coffee, try to navigate cash-only spots, and end up in another neighborhood near Kennedy Town without enough cash for noodles (classic traveler moment). I finish the night with a stop at Jenny’s Bakery and a comforting bowl of clay pot rice — the perfect end to a chaotic but beautiful first day in Hong Kong. About This Video

My first full Hong Kong vlog is basically a love letter to that very specific first-day-in-Asia energy… plus a few rookie mistakes that I absolutely know better than to make. I arrive at the Mandarin Oriental at an unhinged hour (the lobby was a ghost town), and I’m genuinely blown away by the room—Diptyque everything, the deepest tub, binoculars (??), a building guide for my exact Victoria Harbour view, and the most divine little welcome spread. I also share a quick disclaimer because I want you to know I’m not bragging—this was taken care of for me, and I’m just really grateful and excited to show every detail the way I love seeing it in other creators’ vlogs. Then I finally get out into Central to walk, shoot street scenes, and try Halfway Coffee—until I absolutely sabotage myself by wearing new shoes and walking for over an hour. Blisters, chaos at the Peak Tram, and a mid-day regroup back at the hotel. Later, I take the train all the way to a Michelin-recommended noodle spot… only to realize it’s cash-only and I don’t even have my wallet because I’ve been living off Apple Pay and my Octopus card. I end the night the way I needed to: Jenny’s Bakery butter cookies (Christmas tins!) and a comforting bowl of clay pot rice—messy day, beautiful city, and I still powered through with no nap.
