Join me for a full day exploring Hong Kong as I start by taking the iconic Ding Ding Tram across the city to visit the Yick Cheong “Monster Building” in Quarry Bay, one of the most famous and cinematic residential complexes in Hong Kong. After wandering through this incredible spot, I head back to the Mandarin Oriental for their Dim Sum Breakfast Buffet, then make my way to Central for vintage shopping and explore some of the best curated stores in the city. I continue the day with more shopping in Causeway Bay, one of Hong Kong’s busiest and most vibrant retail neighborhoods, before heading to Mott 32 for dinner where I finally try their famous Peking Duck. To end the night, I go up to the Ritz-Carlton’s Ozone Bar, the highest rooftop bar in the world, for a cocktail overlooking the Hong Kong skyline. Enjoy! About This Video

I started this Hong Kong day at an unhinged hour (I woke up at 3:30am), ordered a cappuccino and smoothie to the room because nothing was open yet, and just soaked in how much I genuinely love this city. Hong Kong is up there as one of my favorites: it’s walkable, safe, surrounded by hills and greenery, and the food/fashion scene is so good. I also had one of those “travel restores my faith in humanity” moments—people here were so kind helping me navigate the train station and menus, even when I clearly had no idea what I was doing. Once it was light, I set out to find the Yick Cheong “Monster Building” in Quarry Bay… and I’m not going to lie, getting there was chaos. Wrong buses, wrong tram, Google and ChatGPT both being unreliable, taxi drama, and I was basically one inconvenience away from a mini panic spiral. The building itself? Cool for cinematic shots, but a little underwhelming compared to what I expected—there are honestly so many buildings that feel just as massive. After that, I went back for a proper breakfast, did vintage shopping in Central (no luck—sizes were tiny and nothing really resonated), then Causeway Bay browsing, and ended the night with Mott 32 Peking duck and cocktails at Ozone—100th floor, ears popping, views that make you feel like you’re on a cloud.
