Come with me on two completely different flight attendant layovers one in Savannah, Georgia, and one in Seattle, Washington where nothing went according to plan. ✨ Savannah We walked through the historic squares, visited Forsyth Park, enjoyed oysters + hush puppies, strolled River Street, and even did a haunted ghost tour in a hearse. And all because weather delays turned my short layover into a 32-hour adventure. 🌧 Seattle My plans got rained out (Discovery Park… I’ll be back). But I embraced the coziness instead, Pike Place Market, the original Starbucks, Monorail Espresso, rainy morning filming, Vietnamese takeout, and the comfiest hotel day ever. If you love travel vlogs, flight attendant life, and turning setbacks into memories this one is for you. ☔️ Instagram: https://bit.ly/3aakHTZ Substack: https://substack.com/@layoveralamode ShopMy: https://shopmy.us/balancedflyer Pique Life: https://bit.ly/3MLMWfC Merit Beauty: https://muse.meritbeauty.com/vera Amazon Shop: https://www.amazon.com/shop/balancedflyer ✈️ Flight Attendant Must Haves: Work Bag: https://go.shopmy.us/p-9829489 Work Pouches: https://go.shopmy.us/p-9829511 Water Bottle Pouch: https://go.shopmy.us/p-9829530 Toiletry Bag: https://go.shopmy.us/p-9829498 Makeup Eraser Set: https://go.shopmy.us/p-9829432 Walking Shoes: https://go.shopmy.us/p-17729783 White Noise Machine: https://amzn.to/4i2fWOs Mouth Tape: https://go.shopmy.us/p-10221784 E-mail for business inquiries only: balancedflyer@gmail.com Some of these links are affiliate links, but all opinions are my own. About This Video

This video is basically two completely different flight attendant layovers where nothing went according to plan—one in Savannah and one in Seattle. In Savannah, I wake up to a very rude temperature surprise (I packed for 77°… it was 60°) and I’m missing socks, but I’m in one of my favorite places in the whole world. Then my flights cancel—Savannah to Boston, Boston to JFK, JFK back to Boston—so what was supposed to be a quick stop turns into a full 32-hour Savannah adventure. I lean all the way in: coffee at Gallery Espresso, walking the historic squares, Forsyth Park, River Street nostalgia (including my childhood candy-shop stealing confession), oysters and hush puppies at Sorry Charlie’s, Leopold’s peppermint ice cream, sunset at Bar Julian, and a haunted ghost tour in a hearse. It’s one of those “too bad about the flights, but it’s weather” moments—safety first, but also… I’m not complaining. Seattle is the opposite vibe: rain absolutely destroys my Discovery Park plan, I get fully soaked, and I have to accept defeat and cozy up instead. I do Vietnamese takeout (bánh mì, spring rolls, Thai tea), have a slow hotel day, then try again with coffee at Monorail Espresso and a very touristy Pike Place morning—plus the original Starbucks when there’s magically no line. The takeaway: sometimes layovers are chaos, and sometimes the best move is to romanticize what’s actually in front of you.
