It’s our annual Christmas Cocktails video (year eight… I can’t believe it either) and this one truly got a bit chaotic. I’m back at home with Luke (and our new recruit, Pumpkin) making four festive drinks that are basically memories from the year in a glass—plus a bit of “use up what you’ve got” energy, which I always love. We kick off with a Festive Vegas Bomb inspired by my cruise: whiskey, peach schnapps, cranberry and a Red Bull top-up, finished with red currants to make it feel properly Christmassy. Then we go for my favourite kind of idea: the jam-jar cocktail hack. We use an actual leftover jar of punchy orange marmalade from Monaco, shake it up with Beefeater gin, and top with tonic for the easiest (and honestly delicious) marmalade G&T. After that, it’s pure indulgence: my White Chocolate Stunner with Aldi’s Ballycastle White Chocolate Country Cream, Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha, and a big dollop of squirty cream and cocoa. Finally, we attempt a warming German Eierpunsch… which would’ve been “banging” with vanilla, but may have tasted a bit burnt thanks to a small kitchen incident. We rank them at the end, and yes—the white chocolate one wins for me.
