Hello everybody — welcome back to a brand new weekly vloggy vlog. This week starts with me getting myself together for the TV Choice Awards because Sort Your Life Out was nominated in the lifestyle category (which honestly feels very fitting). I share a little bit of the behind-the-scenes reality of trying to get ready when you’ve got about 19 minutes until the taxi arrives, plus the general winter-evening struggle when it’s already dark at 5pm. The night itself was such a lovely one — there was dinner before the awards, I had a proper fan-girl moment meeting a couple of The Traitors, and it’s always special when an awards show is voted for by viewers. Then it’s straight back into real life: a rainy London morning, a meeting with my publisher, and me trying to get loads done early so I can actually switch off for a couple of days. Luke and I hit the road to Norfolk to see Kate (with a necessary McDonald’s stop for “sustenance”), and then we’re on the bargain hunt: a mega Home Bargains and TK Maxx right at the end of the clearance sale. Think yellow sticker finds, budget home bits, seasonal Easter decor, storage, frames, candles, and those practical little everyday buys that genuinely make a home feel nicer — without spending a fortune.
