About This Video

Hello friends—I'm Kimberly (Moku Kim Med), a second year med student at NTU LKCMedicine, and in this video I share the study resources and materials I’ve been using across my first two years of medical school. Quick disclaimer: you don’t actually need any of these to survive med school because school lectures can be enough, but for me, sometimes I finish a lecture with more questions than when I started. So these are the things I use to supplement learning and properly answer my own “wait, why?” moments. I break everything down by subject. For anatomy (which honestly feels like learning a new language), I focus on visual resources like Netter’s Anatomy Flashcards and Moore’s Clinically Oriented Anatomy because clear images + labeling makes pattern recognition so much easier. For physiology, I use Boards and Beyond religiously (worth it for me even though it’s paid) and I also talk about Guyton & Hall—super comprehensive but a bit “fluffy,” so I used it more in year 1. For pathology, I like Boards and Beyond, Pathoma (amazing explanations + slides), and Robbins because histology and mechanisms are tested a lot. Finally, I talk about clinical skills (Geeky Medics is my go-to for step-by-step exams) and question banks—because doing questions daily is genuinely the best way I build confidence and mastery. I personally use Passmedicine and I add my wrong-answer learning points into Notion.
