Hello friends and welcome back to another video! This one has been a 🤩highly🤩 anticipated one so I hope you guys enjoy it. I will finally be talking about the financial side of studying medicine. 💸Originally I did not think of making this video because the information can be pretty readily available, but upon 🥵heated requests I realise that maybe some of you may not know where to look or what sources to believe🤷🏻‍♀️. Hence I have taken it upon myself to present to you all the most recent costs of studying medicine as well as an approximate figure of how much it would cost in total after 5 years. SO I hope you guys found this video useful, and remember to stay tuned for part 2 where I will be meticulously going through the NTU scholarships and bursaries that you guys can apply for to alleviate this financial burden. --- Relevant links: NUS tuition fees: https://www.nus.edu.sg/registrar/docs/info/administrative-policies-procedures/ugtuitioncurrent.pdf NTU tuition fees: https://www.ntu.edu.sg/admissions/undergraduate/financial-matters/tuition-fees/accepted-programme-offer-in-tf2021 --- Hi there, my name is Kimberly. About This Video

In this video, I finally sit down and talk about the cost of studying medicine in Singapore—because I keep seeing this question pop up in my comments and IG DMs. For my international viewers, I also do a quick explainer on how med school works here: Singapore only has two undergraduate medicine programmes (both are 5-year courses)—NUS Yong Loo Lin and NTU Lee Kong Chian (my school). Then we get into the actual numbers. I share the latest annual tuition fees (AY2022/2023) for NUS Medicine and NTU Medicine across Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, and International Students. A key thing I highlight is that once you matriculate, your tuition fee stays the same every year for the full five years—even if the published fees increase for future cohorts. I also go beyond tuition, because that’s honestly not the only cost you’ll face. I talk about hall/rent (with my own example of a non-aircon double room at about $300/month, and rooms that can go up to ~$600/month), monthly living expenses (food, transport, entertainment—often ~$200–$500/month), and med-specific essentials like a stethoscope, white coats, name tags, and examination tools. I end by teasing part 2, where I’ll go through scholarships and bursaries to help reduce the financial burden.
