In this vlog, I’m bringing you along for my first week of hospital posting in Year 3—starting with ophthalmology (aka the EYE posting 👁️). Postings have finally begun, and I’m based at NUH for this rotation, so you’ll see the vibes of stepping into the hospital environment for the first time in this new phase of med school. It’s been a really exciting shift from classroom studying to being on the ground, learning in a clinical setting. Honestly, the biggest takeaway from this first week is that it’s amazing but also exhausting. There’s a lot to adjust to—new routines, new expectations, and just the general pace of hospital life—but I’m genuinely excited for everything that’s coming next.
