About This Video

Hey guys, in this video I’m breaking down what happened after about two weeks of living with Stack Audio gear in my system—no hype, just what I’m actually hearing in my listening room. I spun a ton of different stuff (jazz, classic rock, metal) and right away it was obvious these isolation upgrades live up to their name. On John Coltrane’s Blue Train (mono Tone Poet, all-analog Kevin Gray), I was hearing details coming out of my speakers that I’d never noticed before. Then I went the other direction with something that’s not exactly “audiophile test record” territory—Thin Lizzy’s Jailbreak—and I still got that same jump in depth, clarity, and a huge soundstage without the vibration, humming, or unwanted noise. I also talk through each piece: the SERENE record mat and stabilizer, the AUVA equipment isolators under my Parasound preamp and Leak Audio amp, and the AUVA speaker isolators on my Wharfedale Heritage speakers (carpet spikes included, which is perfect for my room). The biggest takeaway? Isolation is key if you want to take your setup to the next level without swapping expensive components. I’m always transparent with you guys—this isn’t blowing smoke up anyone’s ass—these products genuinely improved my system in a big way. I wrap it up with some vinyl pickups too: The Clash debut (US pressing with a promo 45) and Japanese pressings of Eagles Hotel California and The Long Run (and yes, I still think The Long Run is their best album).
