In this video I’m walking you through my ultimate Led Zeppelin vinyl collection from my listening room—what I own, what I’m still hunting, and what I’d tell any collector who’s trying to build Zeppelin the right way. I also hit the never-ending UK vs US pressing debate. Most of my copies are US pressings, and honestly, minus one exception, I think they sound really, really good—especially when you stay in the early years and avoid some of those later ‘70s cuts that can get pretty rough. I talk about the Classic Records reissues (including the totally unobtanium Road Case set) and the 2014 Jimmy Page reissue campaign that’s still in print. I can’t personally speak on the sound of those 2014s because I haven’t heard them, but if you’re just getting into vinyl and want Zeppelin on the shelf without spending months digging, they’re an easy entry point. Then I break down each album I own—like my late first UK Led Zeppelin I, my US Robert Ludwig cuts for Led Zeppelin II, and why my 1977 Houses of the Holy sounds like absolute crap and needs an RL upgrade.
