About This Video

Hey what is up everybody, Manny here. In this one I’m basically just running you through a few more cool boulders from the gym—different styles, different “why is this so hard” moments, and a couple of lines that really show how much you can do with very little. We start with a yellow problem that’s super burly right away: toe hooks into a significant move to a three-finger pocket, and then a really cool twisty lock-off out near this huge volume. I love that kind of setting—simple idea, but you’ve got to hold everything properly. Then I decided to take on what is, for me, probably the hardest boulder currently set in the gym: the black one. It’s got that nasty gaston opener, a dynamic snap to a second volume that’s still “super bad” even with a tiny chip, and you have to release the right foot to make it work. Add a sketchy heel hook for the top move and yeah… it took me some tries. After that I show a few lines I set myself: a minimalistic blue edge boulder with a first dyno and tiny edges, plus a couple of 7C-ish / 7B+ pinch and sloper problems that got way harder once they were chalked up. Big takeaway: conditions and friction matter, and minimal holds force clean footwork, high feet, and real commitment—especially on those mental slab top-outs.
