About This Video

In this video I’m sharing my experience with the Cricut Maker—what I’ve been making with it and why I think it’s such a great “ultimate” cutting and crafting machine, especially if you love simple DIYs and want to personalize your home on a modest budget. I’m not doing a full step-by-step tutorial here, but more of an overview of the projects I tried, what felt beginner-friendly, and what surprised me about how versatile this machine really is. My very first thought when I started using the Cricut was: I want to label all the things. I used Cricut Design Space to create custom container sticker labels for my airtight canisters (and yes—weeding is weirdly relaxing and satisfying). Then I made a Simple Life Society decal for a reusable cup using a gold and black combo, and I loved how the grid helped me line everything up straight. After that, I tried iron-on vinyl to make my daughter a preschool graduation t-shirt (Cricut’s tutorials helped so much), and I also tested Infusible Ink on a tote bag and coasters. I was honestly shocked at how beautiful the Infusible Ink turned out—it really infuses into the material, and it made me feel like, “If I can do it, you can do it.”
