It’s genuinely gorgeous, feels well made, and it’s got the headline feature everyone points at right away—built-in magnets. If you’re already living that magnetized life with washers on bases, magnetized storage, or handles like Redgrass/Artis Opus style setups, this is a really clean way to tee up your models so they don’t easily slide, shift, or get knocked over when the table gets bumped. What surprised me is how much “organization” they baked into it. You’ve got pockets/quadrants for paints and tools, plus a brush area that stops brushes (and those stupid brush caps I’m always losing) from rolling away. And yeah, the silicone surface can double as a quick palette—no, it won’t replace a wet palette, but for basecoats, metallics, washes, or a grab-and-go session at a buddy’s house, it’s handy. My only real critique is size: it’s huge—almost a meter—so it can swallow a whole desk. I’d love a Mark 2 that’s 25–30% smaller or a half-size option.
