About This Video

In this video I’m cracking open and building my first Warmachine models in many, many years, and I wanted to share what the new kits look like going into 2025/2026. I grabbed the Orgoth Sea Raiders battlegroup (two warjacks and a warcaster) and walked through what you actually get, how the warcaster functions as the centerpiece/lynchpin of your force, and what it feels like to jump back in now that Warmachine’s getting that revitalization push. The big headline: these kits are 3D printed resin, packaged really well, and the print quality is honestly high. There was very little cleanup—mostly just hunting for tiny “dots” and super fine print lines that disappear once you prime and paint. I also liked that the parts are clearly designed for magnetizing: tons of weapon/head options, and the pieces are slotted for magnets so you can swap loadouts without buying multiples. Build time is low (the warcaster was basically one piece), and you’ll spend more time choosing options and doing magnets than you will actually assembling. If you’re on the fence, this is what to expect when you open a modern Warmachine box.
