In this video I’m giving you my early impressions of ASUS’ new ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W, and yeah… the hype is real. I’ve never seen a monitor get this kind of “wait for it” energy on the OLED gaming subreddit, and after about 24 hours with it, I get why. This is a Tandem True Black Glossy OLED, and that combo legitimately feels like the biggest leap we’ve seen in OLED gaming monitors in a long time—maybe ever. For me, True Black Glossy is still the most beautiful look in OLED monitor tech because the black levels hit that “dark abyss” vibe and you get this extra clarity that makes it feel like you’re staring at raw pixels. Then you stack tandem OLED on top and it gets ridiculous: up to 1500 nits peak brightness, plus way better overall brightness across the screen than what people usually complain about with OLED monitors. Pair that with 1440p at 540Hz and it starts feeling like the first “uncompromisable” endgame monitor—high-fidelity HDR gaming and competitive refresh rates in one display.
