This video is my full review of the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDN, and I’m not exaggerating when I say this might be one of the craziest monitors I’ve ever used. We’re talking a 34-inch 3440x1440 QD-OLED ultrawide that hits 360Hz, peaks at 1300 nits, and somehow stacks multiple “endgame” features into one panel without the usual ultrawide compromises. I break down why 3440x1440 is the sweet spot (about 60% of 4K’s pixel count), so that 360Hz is actually attainable for more GPUs than people think, and why Doom Eternal/Doom Dark Ages on this thing is downright unbelievable. The two big 2026 features are what push it into god tier for me: ASUS Black Shield and the new RGB stripe subpixel layout. Black Shield makes the panel way more scratch resistant (QD-OLED owners know that pain), improves black levels, and massively reduces that red/purple ambient light tint that’s bothered me on older QD-OLEDs. RGB stripe is the real landscape-changer: text clarity is insane (to the naked eye, fringing basically isn’t a thing), colors look Sony A95L-level vibrant, and the overall picture quality is so clean people keep saying it doesn’t look like 1440p—it looks like 4K. I also cover the premium ASUS feature stack like aspect control mode (best implementation I’ve seen), picture-in-picture, KVM, OLED care, and why this is the first ultrawide I can genuinely recommend for competitive games.
