Simple: it prioritizes one thing — being the absolute fastest competitive gaming monitor on the planet — and it has advantages OLED can’t replicate, like ELMB 2. I break down the build (I love the XG flat base stand) and that super underrated “bendy” stand mechanism that lets you angle the panel way more than typical ASUS displays. That matters a lot on a TN panel where viewing angles aren’t perfect, and it’s tailored to how real competitive players sit—leaning in, looking down, adjusting constantly. Then we get into the real sauce: gaming at 600Hz (Overwatch caps at 600). Motion clarity is god tier, input lag feels instantaneous, and even when 540Hz OLED looks similar, I can genuinely feel the difference here. This isn’t the monitor for “eye candy” gamers—but if you’re grinding top-level competitive, or you want the perfect companion piece next to an OLED/ultrawide, this thing makes a ton of sense.
