The ASUS ROG PG34WCDN might be the best ultrawide OLED yet — a 360Hz OLED gaming monitor with RGB stripe subpixel layout and new BlackShield film tech. About This Video

In this short, I’m showing off the new ASUS ROG PG34WCDN ultrawide OLED that I’ve got behind me—Asus ROG sent me an early unit, and when it drops in about a month, you’re going to see why I genuinely think this is the greatest ultrawide monitor we’ve had yet. The headline is simple: 360Hz on a 21:9 ultrawide. That’s the highest refresh rate we’ve ever seen on an ultrawide to date, and it makes fast games look insanely fluid and silky. Whether I’m ripping through Doom-style chaos or grinding competitive titles like Valorant, Overwatch, CS:GO, League, and Rocket League, the motion clarity and low input lag are the whole point. On top of that, it’s packing up to 1300 nits peak brightness on a Quantum OLED, so HDR has the punch to hang closer to high-end OLED TVs than most ultrawide monitors. The real “future” stuff, though, is the new BlackShield film and RGB stripe subpixel layout. BlackShield helps with scratch resistance and improves black levels while fixing the annoying red/purple tint QD-OLED can get with ambient light. And RGB stripe massively improves text clarity and overall image clarity—this 1440p panel can look shockingly close to 4K in motion.
