Get Edye's Cookbook on Amazon here - https://amzn.to/3H7Fton E-book Version - https://littlehouseofbeans.com/e-book/ols/products/outdoor-cooking-with-edye-featuring-the-omnia-oven-e-book-version Tools used: Omnia oven 2L Silicone liner Lower baking tray (optional) Skillet Ingredients: 1 package (16oz, 1 lb, 454g) Sweet Italian Sausage (I used the Premio brand, feel free to use any brand or hot or mild sausage) 1 sheet of Pepperidge Farm Frozen Sheets Pastry Dough (package contains 2 sheets) 3 eggs, beaten 1 cup (113g) Cheddar, shredded ½ cup (80g) Onion, chopped 1 tbsp (9g) garlic powder ½ tbsp (3.5g) cayenne pepper Salt & Pepper to taste Sprinkle of all purpose Flour Instructions: In a medium skillet over medium heat, sweat the chopped onions until translucent. Add the sausage, remove from its casing, and break it up into small pieces with a spoon or spatula. Cook for about 10 minutes, or until fully browned and cooked through. Stir in the cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well, then remove from heat and set aside to cool. Lightly dust a clean surface with flour, then roll out a sheet of puff pastry to roughly match the size of the baking pan you'll be using. Spoon the cooled sausage mixture onto one half of the pastry sheet, leaving a small border around the edge. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the sausage. Carefully roll the pastry into a log, sealing the edges to keep the filling contained. Gently transfer the log into the omnia oven, shaping it into a ring. Use a sharp knife to cut small slits around the top of the pastry. Brush with a beaten egg for a golden finish. Bake at 200–250°F (93c-121c)for 1 hour, or until the pastry is golden and crisp. Let cool slightly before slicing. Serve and enjoy!
