Set aside. Lightly flour a work surface and roll out the pastry sheet. Cut the dough into 12 even squares. Place a small dollop of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each square, then top with a cut piece of guava paste. Brush the edges of the dough lightly with egg wash, fold, and press to seal. Brush the tops with corn syrup and sprinkle with sanding sugar. Arrange the pastries on a greased baking rack. Repeat with the remaining dough.
