What do you think it is? Tools used: Omnia maxi pan Omnia maxi silicone mold Food Processor (optional) Ingredients: Crust 1 box (311g or 110z) Nilla Wafers 10 tbsp (140g) salted butter, melted Custard/ Cake 4 Bananas, sliced 5 eggs, room temperature 1 can (14 oz or 396g) Sweetened Condensed Milk 2 cups (480ml) Cream or Milk 1 Lemon, juiced 1 tablespoon (14.7ml) baking powder 1 tbsp (15ml) vanilla extract 1 tbsp (8g) Cinnamon (optional) Instructions: In a food processor, crush the wafers until finely ground. Transfer the crumbs into a large bowl, then pour in the melted butter. Stir until the mixture is well combined and the crumbs are evenly coated. Take the wafer and butter mixture and spread it evenly into a greased pan. Press it down firmly with your hands or the back of a spoon to form a solid crust on the bottom. Next, slice the bananas.Squeeze the lemon juice evenly over the bananas to prevent browning and keep them fresh. Arrange them evenly over the wafer crust in the pan. Make sure they cover the entire surface for a delicious layer of banana goodness. In a large bowl, combine the eggs, cream, vanilla extract, baking powder, and condensed milk. Whisk the ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and well blended. Pour the prepared mixture over the bananas, ensuring they are fully covered. Then, take some of the remaining ground wafers and sprinkle them evenly on top for an extra layer of texture and flavor. Bake at 200-250F for 60 mins. Allow the cake to cool completely, then garnish with a dusting of cinnamon and/or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra touch of indulgence.
