Get Edye's Cookbook on Amazon here - https://amzn.to/3H7Fton E-book Version - https://littlehouseofbeans.com/e-book/ols/products/outdoor-cooking-with-edye-featuring-the-omnia-oven-e-book-version Tools used: Regular Omnia oven Omnia Silicone mold Hand Mixer Ingredients: 1 package King’s Hawaiian Rolls, 12 count (I used 10 rolls) 8 oz (226g) Cream Cheese, softened 1/3 cup (85g) Cherry Pie Filling 8 oz (227g) Butter, melted - 1 stick, salted or unsalted butter will work 3 tbsp (38g) Brown Sugar 1 tsp (2.6g) Cinnamon 1 Egg 3 tbsp (38g) Sugar 1 tsp (5ml) Almond extract ¼ cup (20g) Almond slivers Instructions: Using a small knife or your fingers, carefully create a shallow well in the top of each roll by cutting or pressing down into the center—be sure not to cut all the way through. Discard or set aside the removed pieces. Place buns in the greased Omnia silicone pan. In a mixing bowl, stir together the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until smooth and well blended. Brush this mixture generously over the tops and inside the wells of the rolls. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add the egg, sugar, and vanilla extract, and continue mixing until fully combined. Spoon the cream cheese filling into each prepared well in the rolls. Top each with a small spoonful of cherry pie filling, then sprinkle slivered almonds over the tops. Pour the remaining cream cheese mixture over the tops of the rolls, spreading gently to cover. This adds extra richness and helps keep the rolls moist during baking, while enhancing the overall creamy flavor. (This was not filmed, I decided at the last minute). Bake at 200–250°F for about 30 minutes, or until the cream cheese filling is set. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
