Get Edye's Cookbook on Amazon here - https://amzn.to/3H7Fton E-book Version - https://littlehouseofbeans.com/e-book/ols/products/outdoor-cooking-with-edye-featuring-the-omnia-oven-e-book-version Tools used: Standard-sized Omnia Oven 2L Standard-size silicone pan Ingredients: 1 small Yellow onion, chopped 3/4 cup (90g) Grated carrot ¾ lb (340g) Ground beef 10oz 285 g (≈285 ml) Tomato sauce 10oz (285 g) Crushed tomatoes 3 cups (210g) Cabbage, chopped into cubes 3/4 cup (140g) White rice, cooked 1 tsp (5g) Minced garlic 1 tsp (2-3g) Sweet paprika ¼ (about 0.5 g) cayenne pepper 1 tbsp (12–13 g) White granulated sugar 1/4 cup (60ml) chicken, vegetable or vegetable broth 1 cup (110g) Shredded mozzarella Salt & Pepper to taste A small bunch of fresh dill, chopped Optional: Serve with a dollop of sour cream, so good! Instructions: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent. Stir in the grated carrot, then add the ground meat, breaking it up as it cooks until fully browned and well combined. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant. Stir the tomato sauce and crushed tomatoes into the meat mixture, mixing until well combined. Sprinkle in the spices, season with salt and pepper, and stir to evenly coat the mixture. Let the meat and sauces gently simmer together in the skillet, allowing the flavors to meld and deepen for approximately 10 minutes. Fold in the cooked rice, mix well, and remove from heat. Meanwhile, chop the cabbage into ½-inch squares and set aside. Pour the chicken stock into the silicone-lined Omnia oven, then layer in half of the cabbage. Spoon the meat and rice mixture evenly over the cabbage, then top with the remaining cabbage. Bake at 200–225°F (95–110°C) for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top, and bake for an additional 20 minutes, until tender and bubbly. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh dill and serve with a generous dollop of sour cream, if desired.
