In this video I’m making brand new Valentine’s decor for 2026 using mostly Dollar Tree wood items (and a few things from my stash). I start with a super simple framed sign DIY using two Dollar Tree signs that open like photo frames—these were actually from the 25-cent bin, which is still one of my favorite places to check. I pop in scrapbook paper, then hot glue on Dollar Tree wooden hearts to create two coordinating pieces that look way more high-end than the price. Next I turn a Dollar Tree wooden crate into faux Valentine “books,” which I honestly do for every holiday because you can never have enough for trays and shelves. I paint the sides in pink, red, and white chalk paint, then add a Chalk Couture transfer (but I also share easy alternatives like stickers, hand lettering, or using your Cricut). I finish them off with baker’s twine, a bow, and a little Dollar Tree paper flower. Then we get into the cute stuff—faux s’mores and marshmallows using foam dice, puff paint “chocolate drips,” sprinkles, and Cricut faces (with my daughter helping). Everything gets styled on my larger tear tray for a finished look that’s budget-friendly but still looks like boutique decor.
