Guys, I’m Kristin, and in this video I’m finally decorating my hutch for Christmas with my gingerbread bakery theme. I’m pulling out a mix of my favorite pieces I’ve collected over the years (like the gingerbread houses I’ve found at TJ Maxx and Hobby Lobby—only when they’re on sale because when they’re not… they’re expensive) plus a bunch of DIYs I’ve made with Dollar Tree items. The goal is cozy, cute, and “bakery counter” vibes—think cookies, gingerbread, hot cocoa, faux treats, and all the little details that make it feel high-end without actually spending high-end money. I also walk you through how I balance the hutch so it feels intentional: I use my two Rae Dunn jars (cookies + gingerbread) on opposite sides to keep it looking even, then I layer in my faux books, faux mugs (I love making those with the caulking from Dollar Tree), and my little gingerbread pieces like the drip-frosted spoons and cake pops. I’m not going to lie—sometimes I procrastinate decorating because I overthink it, but once the taller pieces and the top shelf go in, it all starts coming together.
